Presenter Biography

Susana Pelayo-Woodward
 

Ms. Pelayo-Woodward is the Director of the Hispanic/Latino/Chicano Learning Resource Center and the Women’s Resource and Action Center at the University of MinnesotaDuluth.  She also teaches in the Department of Women’s Studies.  Susana oversees academic and cultural programming, facilitates leadership development and provides the campus and community with diversity awareness and educational programming.  She has taught the following courses for the Department of Women’s Studies: Women, Race and Class; Latina American Women: Cultural and Politics; and Women and Film.  She uses principles of experimental pedagogy to develop and promote multicultural and international education.  Susana is originally from Mexico City and visits her friends and family every year.  Susana has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and International Studies, and a Master’s Degree in Education, and is currently working on an Educational Doctorate in Administration in Higher Education.
