Volunteer Opportunities
PAVSA views volunteerism as a reciprocal relationship. As you help us meet our goals, we strive to help you meet yours.
Volunteers do so much for PAVSA that it is impossible to measure - thank you to all those involved over time. If you are interested in volunteering with PAVSA and the effort to end sexual violence, read on to learn more about the many ways you can get involved or go straight to our online application form
PAVSA Advocacy Training
PAVSA Advocacy training prepares you to accompany survivors of sexual assault during hospital exams and answer crisis calls. You will learn how to provide information and support to survivors so they are more empowered, assist victims in addressing long-term healing needs, help them locate community resources, and better their understanding of the effects of sexual violence. This is a great opportunity to put your education into practice and build your resume'!

Volunteer Sexual Assault Advocacy Program
Becoming a volunteer Sexual Assault Advocate is an experience that offers life-long rewards. It requires larger commitment but is an opportunity for volunteer advocates to provide direct service to people in crisis. A wonderful option for many, sexual assault advocacy digs to the heart of the matter and offers a chance to be there for people in need.
Office Volunteer
PAVSA has a big need for volunteers who are interested in spending time at our office helping with administrative tasks. Work includes data entry, brochure design, mass mailings, and more, and is a great way to get involved more casually. In addition, office volunteers gain exposure to career opportunities in counseling and social services, and to the nonprofit environment.
Volunteer to help out at an Event
Throughout the year PAVSA hosts and co-hosts a variety of awareness events and fundraisers. Volunteers play a critical role in the success of these events, as they provide the muscle to much of the event planning process! If you.re interested in helping us prepare for these events and/or interested in volunteering the day-of, please feel free to contact us immediately.
Volunteer Childcare Providers
Another rewarding way to volunteer PAVSA on a casual basis is to become a volunteer childcare provider. This is a wonderful option for those who love working with kids. Volunteer childcare providers receive a two-hour training and CPR Certification, and are then added to a list of volunteer childcare providers.
